Sudanese Army Liberates Strategic Area of Om Marahik West of Sodari
The Sudanese Armed Forces have made fresh advances on the Kordofan front, establishing full control over the area of Om Marahik, located west of the city of Sodari along the border strip adjoining West Kordofan.
Military sources said that the capture of Om Marahik represents a strategic shift in the course of military operations in the area, given its commanding position linking the geographical axes of the Kordofan states and the passage of vital supply routes through it.
The sources confirmed that army units had taken full control of the area and were currently conducting extensive mopping-up operations to secure its surroundings and ensure the continued advance towards their planned objectives.
