Al-Burhan: No Dialogue with the Janjaweed’s Political Front “Tasis

KHARTOUM (Sudanese Echoes) – President of the Transitional ‎Sovereignty Council (TSC) and Commander-in-Chief of the Sudanese ‎Armed Forces, General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, denied media reports ‎suggesting that there were plans to hold a dialogue involving the so-‎called “Tasis Alliance,” which he described as the government front of ‎the Janjaweed militia.‎

Speaking to‏ ‏‎(Al-Omwan 24), Al-Burhan said: “There is no truth to the ‎media reports about a dialogue involving the so-called Tasis Alliance,” ‎thereby putting to rest speculation sparked by media reports about ‎arrangements for a political process involving the alliance.‎
