Sudan’s Navy Commander: RSF militarily strongest component’s surrender is expected

Commander of the Sudanese Navy, Commander of the Red Sea Military Zone, Lt. Gen. Mahjoub Bushra, said that the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) managed to break the hard power of the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia, open supply lines for the army, and cut off the militia’s supply lines.
Mahjoub confirmed, in an interview with (Sudanese Echoes), that the initiative in the field is now in the hands of the army, stressing that the militia is in a state of complete collapse. He expected the surrender of what remains of the militia to the army, particularly the component with the greatest military influence in the militia.
Darfur situation
Regarding the situation in Darfur, the Commander of the Sudanese Navy says that the situation is under control, explaining that the armed and joint forces and the mobilized personnel are inflicting heavy daily losses on the enemy, in equipment and lives, affirming that the losses inflicted by the militia at the (Al-Zurg) base had a major impact on the course of operations in favor of the army.
Russian Naval Base
Meanwhile, the Navy Commander acknowledged the existence of an agreement with Russia to establish a logistical support point for the Russian Navy near Portsudan. He explained that Moscow is ready to implement the agreement, but the circumstances the country is going through have prevented the agreement from being completed. He added that the agreement is awaiting the formation of Parliament to make a decision on it.
