Strict Orders and Coordination to Clear Khartoum State of All Military ‎Formations

 

Khartoum, (Sudanese Echoes) – Minister of Interior Lieutenant ‎General (Police) Babiker Samra Mustafa chaired the 17th meeting of ‎the Committee for Maintaining Security and Enforcing State Authority, ‎attended by all committee members.‎

The head of the Committee for Evacuating Khartoum State of Military ‎Formations and Collecting Weapons, Lieutenant General Abdel-Khair ‎Abdullah Nasser, said coordination with the commanders of the forces ‎had been completed regarding their withdrawal from Khartoum State.‎

The Committee for Clearing Khartoum State of Destroyed Vehicles and ‎War Remnants said it had collected 774 vehicles, bringing the total ‎number of vehicles collected across Khartoum State to 19,006. It also ‎received 5,205 reports concerning the removal of war remnants and ‎disposed of 12,668 unexploded ordnance items and various types of ‎ammunition.‎

The Committee for Removing Informal Settlements also worked to ‎clear informal encroachments across all localities, carrying out 7,045 ‎removals and issuing 14,212 notices.‎

Regarding the Committee for Clearing Khartoum State of Refugees and ‎Illegal Foreign Presence, it deported 152 foreigners during the period ‎and received 278 foreigners who were victims of human trafficking.‎

In a report by the Central Operations Room, presented by Khartoum ‎State Police Director Lieutenant General of Police Dr. Siraj-Eddin ‎Mansour Khalid, he said the operations room opened 5,940 reports ‎and arrested 2,780 suspects during the period from September 20 to ‎October 3.‎

The checkpoints arrested 69 suspects and opened 62 reports, while ‎joint patrols continued across all localities, arresting 1,557 suspects ‎and opening 901 reports against them. The patrols also recovered ‎quantities of stolen equipment and devices and seized drugs and ‎weapons held unlawfully.‎

The Security Cell also seized quantities of expired foodstuffs.‎
The Media Committee urged citizens, teachers, and school and ‎university administrators to contact the National Mine Action Center ‎at 60666 before resuming classes, in the interest of students’ safety, ‎stressing that security is everyone’s responsibility.‎
