Sudan’s Minister of Information: We will close any media institution that violates journalistic values
Minister of Information and official government spokesman, Khalid Al-Aiser, warned the internal and external media outlets that anyone who does not adhere to neutrality in media coverage of the Sudanese issue and does not observe objectivity and media codes of honor will not be welcome; and his platform in Sudan will be closed throughout his term in the ministry.
Al-Aiser said, during a press conference “We will not accept any internal or external media outlet that passes an agenda that contributes to the dismantling of the state and the homeland.” He added: “Anyone who violates professional and journalistic values will have no place in Sudan. We are ready to issue a decision to suspend any media institution that violates journalistic values in its coverage of events in Sudan, and we will not hesitate to do so.”
