Sudanese government: Countries supplied RSF militia with anti-aircraft missiles to tighten siege on El-Fashir

A Sudanese government spokesman accused unnamed countries of providing the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia with anti-aircraft missiles to impose an air blockade on El-Fashir, the capital of North Darfur state.
On Saturday morning, the RSF militia launched artillery shelling on Zamzam camp, located 12 kilometers southwest of El-Fashir.
Government spokesman Khalid Al-Aiser said, in a statement, that “some countries have been involved in supplying the militia with weapons and anti-aircraft missiles recently, in an attempt to tighten the land blockade on El-Fashir to include both land and air support.”
He pointed out that the government has airdropped food and medical aid to El-Fashir, criticizing what he called the “silence and inaction” of the United Nations and its failure to take effective and serious steps to stop crimes against civilians and prevention of aid from reaching El-Fashir.
