SAF artillery kills 25 rebels, destroys armored vehicles in El-Fashir
The Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) announced today, Saturday, that its forces killed 25 rebels in the city of El-Fashir, in North Darfur State in the west of the country.
SAF said, in a statement published on its Facebook page today, Saturday, “Our armed forces, the joint force and the mobilized individuals, supported by artillery, destroyed seven combat vehicles, including an armored vehicle, a rocket, and an armored (BTR), and killed 25 rebels.”
It added, in a report on the events of yesterday, Friday, in the North Darfur State-El Fasher axis, that “El-Fashir witnessed great calm with the stability of the situation and with great morale of the forces and their solidarity in order to protect the land and provide protection for civilians.”
It explained that “as a result of frequent defeats, the failure to pay salaries, and demanding of withdrawal by some of its elements, clashes broke out among the militia rebels with ammunition, resulting in the death of 14 of them and the injury of others.”
