Multi-Billion-Dollar Economic Partnership… New Details on Prime Minister’s Visit to Saudi Arabia

 

High-level sources disclosed new details about the visit of Prime Minister Dr. Kamil Idris to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

 

 

The sources refuted the organized disinformation campaigns that promoted false details about his visit to Saudi Arabia, including claims of visiting shops or restaurants.

 

 

The sources confirmed that the visit was official. They accused media and electronic outlets affiliated with the militia and the “Sumud” alliance of spreading lies against the Prime Minister since he took the oath, through systematic targeting and confusion that lack the minimum standards of professionalism, objectivity, and integrity.

 

 

The sources cited the systematic targeting of the Prime Minister with similar lies that circulated during his visit to Egypt.

 

 

The sources clarified that these outlets and entities aim to undermine the excellent relationship between Sudan and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

 

 

Regarding what happened in Saudi Arabia, the sources provided details about the Prime Minister’s trip to the Kingdom, which began from Port Sudan Airport accompanied by the official delegation heading to Al-Madina Al-Munawara, where the plane landed at Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Medina.

 

 

They explained that the protocol norm in the Kingdom is that guests are received by the Emir of the principality or his deputy, regardless of the identity of the visiting guest.

 

 

They continued: He was received by Deputy Emir of Al-Madina Al-Munawara Abdul Mohsen bin Nayef bin Humaid, and the head of the Royal Protocol Office in the region Ibrahim bin Abdullah Bri, in addition to a number of Saudi officials, the Sudanese Ambassador to the Kingdom Dafallah Al-Haj Ali, and the Consul General in Jeddah Ambassador Kamal Ali Osman.

 

 

They added: The delegation proceeded to the Hilton Hotel, then visited Quba Mosque, performed Dhuhr prayer in the Prophet’s Mosque, and afterwards departed to Riyadh in preparation for the planned meeting with the Saudi Crown Prince the following day.

 

Upon arrival at King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, the Prime Minister was received by Prince Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Emir of Riyadh Principality, the Saudi Ambassador to Sudan Ali bin Hassan Jaafar, and a number of senior Saudi officials, while the delegation was received and hosted at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Riyadh.

 

In the evening, the Prime Minister attended a dinner hosted by the Sudanese Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Dafallah Al-Haj Ali at his residence, attended by a large number of Saudi and Sudanese businessmen, along with Saudi Deputy Foreign Minister Waleed Al-Khuraiji, and President of the Saudi Federation of Chambers Hassan Al-Huwaizi.

 

 

The sources revealed that during the night the Prime Minister suffered a sudden health issue that lasted until the next morning, which required transferring him to King Faisal Specialist Hospital, where he received the necessary medical care in a special suite for VIPs.

 

 

They indicated that the scheduled meeting with the Crown Prince was postponed due to this emergency situation and sudden health condition.

 

 

The high-level sources said that on the third day, Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan visited the Prime Minister at his residence at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel, accompanied by his deputy Waleed Al-Khuraiji.

 

 

Farhan conveyed the greetings and wishes for a speedy recovery from the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.

 

 

During the meeting, it was agreed to reschedule the official visit for a later date according to a new program.

 

 

On the fourth and final day of the visit, the Sudanese Minister of Culture, Information and Tourism, Khalid Al-Ayesir, during a meeting with his Saudi counterpart Salman bin Yousif Al-Dosari at the headquarters of the Saudi Ministry of Information, discussed a number of media issues and strategic partnerships.

 

 

The sources explained that Minister of Information returned to the Ritz-Carlton Hotel to accompany the Sudanese delegation to the headquarters of the Muslim World League.

 

 

There, the Prime Minister met with Secretary-General of League Mohammed Abdulkarim Al-Issa, who came specifically from outside the Kingdom to meet the Sudanese delegation.

 

 

The Prime Minister then departed to King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh.

 

 

Before boarding the Sudanese presidential plane, he was bid farewell by Prince Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Abdulaziz, the Sudanese Ambassador, and the Deputy of the Royal Protocol.

 

 

The sources revealed that the Sudanese delegation, during the visit, presented to the Saudi Foreign Minister a strategic vision for bilateral economic cooperation with a partnership worth tens of billions of dollars.

 

 

They also presented a similar vision to the Muslim World League to support developmental, economic, and service fields.

 

In addition, Sudanese Minister of Animal Resources Dr. Ahmed Al-Tijani Al-Mansouri held meetings with governmental and private entities, which resulted in advanced preliminary understandings to establish projects worth millions of dollars.

 

 

The delegation included Minister of Finance Gebreil Ibrahim, and Minister of Energy and Oil Dr. Al-Mutasim Ibrahim Ahmed Ali, who held important meetings and contacts.

 

 

In addition, the advisors of the Sudanese Prime Minister, with their various specializations, participated and played important official roles in the context of arranging the trip and subsequent procedures.

 

 

The sources confirmed that Sudanese-Saudi relations will remain strong and solid, unaffected by smear campaigns or the pens of those lying in wait.

 

 

They revealed that the official meeting between the Prime Ministers of the two countries will be held soon within the framework of the fraternal and strategic common path, according to the new schedule.
