Former Deputy Chief of Egyptian Intelligence: We trust the Sudanese army’s Combat Capabilities
Former Deputy Chief of Egyptian Intelligence, former Governor of Marsa Matrouh, Maj. Gen. Mohamed Sherif Ajlan, confirmed his country’s confidence in the combat capabilities of the Sudanese army to maintain the security, stability and interests of Sudan.
Ajlan stated, in his introduction to the book (Transitional Justice and its Judicial and Non-Judicial Reconciliatory Mechanisms) by the great journalist Mona Abu Al-Azaim, that he is proud of his period of residence in Sudan as a military student, referring to his studies at the Military College in Jebel Al-Awliya during the War of Attrition in 1970 in order to secure the Egyptian military capabilities from the threats to which they were exposed during that period.
The former Deputy Head of Egyptian intelligence stressed that Egypt will not forget the role and mission of the Sudanese Armed Forces in participating with the Egyptian army in the October 1973 War.
Maj. Gen. Ajlan stressed that Egypt trusts the combat capabilities of the brotherly Sudanese army to maintain the security, stability and interests of its country, through the exchange of military expertise and study missions, praying to Allah Almighty to protect the people of Sudan, concluding with (Long live the beloved people of Sudan).
