A Sudanese refugee killed by unknown gunmen in Tripoli

 

A Sudanese refugee has been killed by unknown gunmen in the Tajoura suburb, east of the Libyan capital, Tripoli.

 

 

A relative of the victim told Darfur 24 that gunmen in a car broke into the home of Salim Osman, 39, at 4:30 a.m., intending to rob him.

 

 

He explained that Osman attempted to confront them, prompting them to open fire on him before fleeing to an unknown destination.

 

 

The source indicated that neighborhood residents notified security forces immediately after the incident, and the search for the perpetrators is ongoing.

 

 

The victim’s body was transferred to the morgue of a hospital in the capital, pending completion of burial procedures by security authorities.
