Internal Disputes Shake the Ranks of the Rapid Support Forces
A leaked audio recording obtained by the Dar Hamar Emergency Room exposes deep disputes within the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia, highlighting a fierce struggle over authority and decision-making among its leaders both inside Sudan and abroad.
The recording reveals RSF adviser Ijlal Al-Jawda attempting to assert absolute control by directly threatening Abdel Azim, based in Sudan, with immediate detention, exposing fractures in the militia’s operational hierarchy.
Yassir, residing in the United Arab Emirates, is also mentioned, signaling that the conflict has shifted from the battlefield to external offices, with Ijlal claiming the ability to pursue international measures via Dubai police.
These disputes underline that the RSF militia is experiencing a “multiple-heads” scenario and a loss of centralized control, as internal power struggles replace military confrontation, with competing wings seeking personal influence and political gain at the expense of regional stability.
