Death and Life Sentences Issued Against 28 Collaborators with Al-Dagalo in Dongola
Dongola – Sudanese Echoes
The Dongola Criminal Court issued a ruling in Case No. 3498 dated 2 June 2025, under Articles 26, 50, and 51 of the Penal Code, sentencing twelve defendants to death by hanging and sixteen others to life imprisonment.
The court found that the convicts were involved in collaboration with enemy forces in various areas of Khartoum, participating in Rapid Support Forces (RSF) positions, committing acts of plundering and theft, engaging in combat against the Sudanese Armed Forces, and attempting to flee via the “Triangle.”
The defendants were apprehended by the Libyan joint forces and subsequently investigated by the Intelligence Office in Dongola. Following more than ten sessions, during which all aspects of justice were ensured, the court issued its verdicts.
The death sentences included: Amjad Ahmed Issa, Kamal Badr-Eddin Ali Mohamed, Yahya Ibrahim Yahya Omar, Jalal Yagoub Mohammed Adam, Ibrahim Muzamil Ibrahim, Mohammed Ismail Ali Al-Khazin, Adam Hamdan Adam, Awad Al-Karim Atif, Ahmed Osman Ahmed Ismail, Al-Fatih Al-Rahma Darjool, Ramadan Haider Abdul-Hamid, and Rabee Hassan Al-Tur Kojak.
The life sentences were imposed on sixteen other defendants, effective from the date they were taken into custody.
The ruling was issued by Mohamed Ali Al-Sheikh, Judge of the General Court at Dongola Criminal Court, who affirmed that these verdicts send a clear message to anyone contemplating threats to the nation’s security and stability, and that justice will take its course through deterrent penalties.
