A series of raids launched on militia positions in Al-Khuwai, Abu Zabad, and Al-Nuhud

The Sudanese Air Force carried out a series of intensive airstrikes on Al-Khuwai, Abu Zabad, and Al-Nuhud, in an operation described as the most violent since the beginning of the military escalation in the region.

The airstrikes focused on the positions of the Rapid Support Forces (RSF), which are based in these strategic locations, resulting in significant human and material losses among their ranks.

A military source told local media that the raids destroyed a number of military vehicles and killed dozens of RSF elements, according to initial estimates.

The sources confirmed that the airstrikes were carried out based on accurate intelligence that detected suspicious movements by the Rapid Support Forces in various areas of Kordofan, which were intended to launch a potential attack on the city of Al-Obeid, which has been witnessing escalating tensions for weeks.

The Rapid Support Forces have not issued any statement regarding this matter.

The sources explained that Sudanese warplanes targeted these movements with direct, violent strikes, in an attempt to thwart any RSF advance on the ground, which the armed forces accuse of committing violations against civilians, including displacement, pillaging, and theft in the areas where they exist.
