SAF expands throughout Al-Gezira… Al-Burhan threatens (Al-Dagalo) with expulsion from Sudan
The Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) regained the city of Al-Kamileen in Al-Gezira State from the grip of the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) after fierce battles that lasted for several days, at a time President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC), Abdel-Fattah Al-Burhan, announced the army’s approach to the Soba Bridge, east of the capital, Khartoum.
SAF resumed its military operations in Al-Gezira State since January 31 and was able to control the cities of Rafaa, Tamboul in eastern Al-Gezira, in addition to Al-Hassahissa, in the north of the state.
SAF also took control of the areas of Al-Eilafun, Om Dawanban, Al-Esailat and other areas in the East Nile Locality, in Khartoum State.
The commander of Sennar Advancing Force, Abdel-Moneim Abdel-Bassit, said that the army liberated the city of Al-Kamileen and is determined to reach Khartoum.
Soldiers affiliated with the armed forces broadcast video clips showing their deployment inside the city, and dozens of citizens celebrated the army’s arrival in their area.
In return, TSC President, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, General Abdel-Fattah Al-Burhan, arrived in East Nile on Tuesday, a few hours after the liberation of the area.
He pledged, while addressing a gathering of residents of the area, to fight the Janjaweed and Al-Dagalo and expel them from the country, revealing that the army vanguards were approaching the Soba Bridge east of Khartoum, in addition to the arrival of the armed forces near the town of Al-Maseed south of Khartoum.
Al-Burhan thanked the residents of East Nile for their patience and standing against the rebels, noting that they did not appease the militia or agree with it, but fought it and expelled it.
Al-Burhan stressed that the armed forces are determined to expel the terrorist Al-Dagalo militia from all parts of the country.
