US warns (Taqaddum) against forming a (exile government)

The US Special Envoy for Sudan, Tom Perriello, expressed the United States’ deep concern about some factions in Sudan calling for the unilateral declaration of new governing structures.

Perillo said: “The United States is deeply concerned by reports that some Sudanese factions and individuals are calling for the unilateral declaration of new governing structures in Sudan.”

The US Special Envoy to Sudan pointed out that such a measure would greatly destabilize the region and expose Sudan to the risk of fragmentation.
