Training camp for (Al-Dagalo) militia in (Al-Hilu) areas opened

A military source said that the commander of the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia in Sennar, Hamouda Al-Bishi, opened a new training camp in the areas under the control of the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement-North (SPLM-N), led by the SPLM-N First Deputy Head of Abdel Aziz Al-Hilu, Joseph Tuka.

SPLM-N controls pockets in the Blue Nile and South Kordofan.

The RSF militia suffered heavy losses in Sennar State, and retreated to concentrate in Al-Dali and Al-Mazmum in the south of the state, adjacent to the Blue Nile, after the army regained control of the command of the 17th Division in Singa at the end of last November.

A source reported to (Sudan Tribune) that Hamouda Al-Bishi assigned an officer last week to supervise the camp after supporting it with a number of armored vehicles, in preparation for recruiting the sons of the areas loyal to Joseph Tuka, in what appears to be the beginning of a military alliance between the militia and Al-Hilu.

Three batches of Al-Bishi forces have surrendered to the army in Singa since the latter regained control of the cities of Sennar State. The militia is active in the areas west and south of the Blue Nile, with a supply line coming from South Sudan via smuggling traders.
