Sudan’s government accuses UAE of involvement in the attack on Portsudan Airport

Minister of Culture and Information and government spokesman Khalid Al-Aiser has launched a fierce attack on the United Arab Emirates (UAE), accusing it of being behind the attack on Portsudan Airport.

In a circular received by (Sudanese Echoes), Khalid stated that the city of Portsudan was attacked on Sunday morning by seven suicide drones, which provided cover for an attack carried out by another strategic drone on Osman Digna Air Base.

He revealed that the attack caused material damage but no casualties.

The Minister of Information confirmed that the air defense forces were able to successfully intercept and neutralize all of the suicide drones, while the strategic drone struck one of the gables inside the airbase.

He asserted that this attack confirms beyond a shadow of a doubt that this war is not merely a rebellion by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia, but rather a full-fledged aggression directed and supported by the UAE.

Khalid considered the UAE’s provision of advanced drones to the militia, which are operated from control Chambers in Abu Dhabi, not only a threat to Sudanese national security but also a grave jeopardy to regional and international security, requiring urgent and serious action to address such violations.
