Disarming of 7 Combat Groups in Kordofan: RSF Strips Heavy Weapons and Communications Equipmen

A senior commander in the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia, Abdelrahim Dagalo, has reportedly disarmed seven combat groups affiliated with the rebellion forces in Kordofan, stripping them of heavy weaponry and communications equipment.

According to the reports, the decision allowed these groups to retain only their personal weapons, while imposing strict orders prohibiting any movement of forces or the conduct of military operations without his direct personal authorization.

The move comes amid efforts by the militia leadership to tighten control over deteriorating field conditions and to curb what sources describe as rising internal dissent within western operational sectors.

The disarmament measures followed the announcement by Ali Rizqallah, known as “Al-Safana,” of his defection from the militia and his alignment with the Sudanese people’s side.
