Sudanese Foreign Ministry : UAE ambassador residence in Khartoum was not bombed

The Sudanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs revealed that the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) Militia had launched rockets attack on more 40 diplomatic missions and headquarters of the United Nations agencies and international organizations since the outbreak of the war of aggression in Sudan. While the Ministry of Foreign Affairs was surprised by the condemnation statements from Arab countries regarding the false allegations of the UAE government that the residence of the UAE ambassador in Khartoum was bombed by the army, it wondered about the reasons for not condemning the shameful attacks on 40 diplomatic missions, including the headquarters of the UAE mission itself, however, MFA reaffirmed its commitment to the sanctity of diplomatic headquarters.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs explained, in a statement received by (Sudanese Echoes) that the property that the UAE claimed was bombed was not targeted at all and is owned by a Sudanese citizen who was liquidated by the rebellious Janjaweed militia and is not used as a diplomatic headquarters, as the diplomatic embassy moved to Portsudan like other embassies of the countries whose headquarters in Khartoum were targeted after the militia sponsored by the UAE violated them and turned them into military barracks.

The Foreign Ministry accused the UAE of seeking to disrupt Sudan’s relations with the Gulf States by repeating these allegations. The Foreign Ministry stressed that the report of the Security Council Experts Team demonstrated that the UAE is the source of arms and funding for the militia. MFA reiterated Sudan’s full commitment to the sanctity of diplomatic premises and their protection in accordance with the Vienna Convention, affirming that the UAE embassy, like other diplomatic missions, has moved to the city of Portsudan and is carrying out its duties from there without any harassment, despite its government’s shameful role in the war on Sudan and its people.
