Sudanese Army Crushes RSF Militia in Al-Khuwei Vicinity
Sudanese Echoes – The Sudanese Armed Forces and supporting forces completely defeated the terrorist Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia in a three-hour battle in the vicinity of Al-Khuwei, West Kordofan State.
Mohamed Didan, spokesperson for the Special Task Forces, posted a video on his official Facebook page showing a destroyed RSF combat vehicle engulfed in flames. In his post, he said: “By the grace of Allah, the enemy was completely crushed in a battle that lasted three hours in the vicinity of Al-Khuwei.”
Military clashes between the army and the RSF militia escalated in West Kordofan State on Sunday, coinciding with the Armed Forces’ announcement that they had shot down a long-range drone, the third of its kind in the Kordofan region within 72 hours.
Military confrontations in the Kordofan region resumed early last week after the army restarted its operations aimed at retaking areas controlled by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia in North Kordofan and advancing westward towards West Kordofan State, in preparation for opening the way for military operations to extend into the Darfur region.
The latest operations resulted in the army and its allied forces taking control of several areas in West Kordofan, including the Eayal Bakheet administrative unit near Al-Khuwei locality, as well as dozens of villages.
