Spread of (rabies) … Rabid dogs attack citizens in Ad Daein

Medical cadres in East Darfur State have launched an appeal to international organizations to provide rabies serum in the state to save citizens amidst a rise in rabies rates among them.

The demand for the serum has increased in hospitals in East Darfur, after dozens of citizens, most of them children, were infected with the disease due to dog bites, in light of the deterioration of medical services due to the war.

A doctor working at the Al-Salam neighborhood health center in Ad Daein city told (Darfur 24) that there is an increase in the demand for rabies serum in Ad Daein city centers, as most of the requests come from localities and villages, which has caused the serum prices to triple in pharmacies.
