Russia warns Hemeidti militia: Bombing civil infrastructure is unacceptable

Moscow has called for an immediate cessation of hostilities in Sudan and for intensified political and diplomatic efforts.

In a statement, the Russian Foreign Ministry stressed the need to intensify political and diplomatic efforts aimed at launching a broad-based Sudanese-Sudanese dialogue without external interference, which should lead to lasting peace in the country and the preservation of its sovereignty, unity, and territorial integrity.

According to the Russia Today website, Moscow expressed its deep concern over the ongoing bloody armed clashes between the army and the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia in the Republic of Sudan since April 2023.

The ministry continued in its statement, saying: “Russia considers the bombing of civil infrastructure unacceptable and calls for strict adherence to international humanitarian law.”
