RSF Militia forcibly deports girls who became pregnant with fornication to Darfur… Slave market for selling women in Chad

Sudanese Echoes: Al-Taj Osman
An investigation by (Sudanese Echoes) revealed the rape crimes committed by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia against hundreds of girls.
The second episode of the investigation highlighted details published for the first time about the militia kidnapping (20) female university students from Ali Abdel-Fattah University City in Omdurman and imprisoning and raping them inside the house of the leader Al-Azhari in Beit Al-Mal neighborhood.
An eyewitness told (Sudanese Echoes) – who was also raped by militia members – that she had eluded the militia members despite the strict guard and surveillance imposed on them and had managed to escape from them. She confirmed that some of the girls who had become pregnant by the militia members while they were being held there were forcibly deported to the militia-affiliated villages in Darfur to give birth there and hand them over to their families, after which they would decide either to kill the girl or release her.
In the same context, an activist in combating sexual violence revealed that the militia uses rape as a weapon of war to force citizens to leave their villages and cities to settle their mercenary members and some loyal tribes instead of them. He asserted that some of the girls who were kidnapped from Khartoum and some areas of Darfur were sold in the slave market in Chad. (See the investigation in our upcoming issues).
