RSF Intelligence Orders Immediate Execution of Fleeing Fighters in Kordofan
Kordofan – The Rapid Support Forces (RSF) intelligence service has issued a military directive ordering the immediate use of live ammunition against all its members fleeing the combat fronts in the Kordofan region, amid tightened security measures at checkpoints and gates to prevent any attempts to withdraw
Sources told the Shahid Ayan platform that the instructions reflect a state of tension and confusion within the forces following successive battlefield losses and recent retreats on the Kordofan fronts. Under the order, withdrawing fighters have become targets of fire from their own forces rather than being treated as combatants who have retreated from the battlefield.
Meanwhile, local activists calling themselves the “Kordofan Wise Men” issued an urgent appeal to residents of the region to immediately stop participating in military operations and hand over their weapons to the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF), in order to prevent further bloodshed and avoid more casualties in battles that they said do not serve the interests of their region.
Field reports indicate that fleeing and withdrawals among RSF members have expanded across the Kordofan fronts.
