Army Airstrikes Target RSF Strongholds in Al-Nohod Ahead of Ground Offensive
The Sudanese Army’s Air Force carried out a series of intensive airstrikes targeting the main positions of the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia in the city of Al-Nohod, causing casualties and equipment losses among its ranks, amid indications that army ground units are preparing to advance toward the city.
Eyewitnesses inside the city told Shahid Ayan Platform that the airstrikes caused confusion among militia groups, prompting them to redeploy their personnel and change their gathering points. Several combat vehicles were also observed withdrawing toward the southern axis of the city.
Meanwhile, local sources said the militia launched a wide-scale arrest campaign targeting a number of Al-Nohod residents on suspicion of cooperating with Sudanese Army intelligence and providing it with the coordinates of military positions.
The city is currently experiencing heightened security tensions and unrest, amid residents’ fears of renewed airstrikes and armed clashes.
