“On charges of espionage”, a convict was sentenced to death in Sudan

The Shendi General Criminal Court in the River Nile State in central Sudan issued a death sentence by hanging until death (as a discretionary measure) against the defendant (S.A) after the court convicted him in a criminal case No. (G.E./25/2024) for violating the text of Article (53) of the Sudanese Penalty Code of 1991 “Espionage against the country”.

The Public Prosecution represented the accusation before the court, in the presence of the defense lawyers who pleaded for the defendant.
