Minawi: (Al-Dagalo) militia is (monsters) not (humans)

The governor of Darfur Region, Minni Arko Minawi, has said that Darfur Region has been suffering from attacks by the rebel Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia that besieged the city of El-Fashir for a long time and that it has been attacking Zamzam camp, which is a camp for those affected by the scourges of a previous war and includes families and women, which is a regrettable matter as the camp is not a military barracks.

Minawi stressed, during his address to the briefing meeting on the situation in El-Fashir, Zamzam camp and all of Darfur in the capital of the Red Sea State, Portsudan, in the presence of representatives of a number of international organizations operating in Sudan, that the militia’s violations are countless and clearly violate all international laws and human rights laws.

Minawi added that the human rights violations by the militia were not limited to Darfur, but spread in all the areas it entered, especially its commission of documented crimes in West Darfur State by killing and mutilating the body of the martyr Khamis Abkar; which are crimes similar to the crimes of terrorist organizations such as Al-Qaeda and Boko Haram, calling for the classification of the RSF militia as a terrorist organization and even more. He said that burning and destroying villages, burying people alive, and displacing the displaced persons (IDPs) and citizens are all crimes committed by the militia, and they are crimes committed outside the scope of any law, adding that such violations are not limited to war zones, but even to other areas where the militia is present. Manawi pointed out that the rebel RSF militia is monsters, not human beings.
