Grey: The devastating war that killed, displaced, destroyed and expatriated the Sudanese citizens made them resist and strive for life to continue. We were wondering where the police are whose role is supposed to be synchronized with the liberation of every inch of land that the army retook from the thugs to secure and breathe life into it so that the citizens can feel reassured and back homes to practice their normal life because the chaos that occurred during the war, the complete absence of law and the spread of gangs and criminals supported by the criminal Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia does not allow the citizen to return safely and practice a normal life.

* The movement that the police are doing in Khartoum State, in particular, inspires hope in souls, as the police forces are doing their role normally, the law is back to control the street and society, the criminal and the lawbreakers will return to their natural place and the jungle law that prevails, implementing by the rebel RSF weapon, will end.

* On the other hand, smuggling crimes have become widespread in the country through unmonitored outlets, which smugglers have exploited to bring in all possible smuggled goods and all Sudanese products that can be trafficked abroad without passing through customs and standards that control this matter. Customs is now discussing in a workshop the best ways to combat smuggling, and this requires vigilance and high capabilities to guard open borders with hostile countries that have smuggled weapons and any other commodity without moral restraint or conscience.

* Here also comes the role of the Sudanese Standards and Metrology Organization (SSMO), which is supposed to protect citizens from tampering with standards in the absence of the law and the spread of smuggling, and perhaps the most dangerous of these is the leakage of food materials that do not conform to specifications and have expired, which is a matter that is likely with the greed of some or the new elements of war profiteers who have entered the trade without supervision or accountability.

* The move made by the SSMO Director General and her inspection of its branches and organs also sends a message of reassurance to the citizen that the regulatory bodies are awake and doing their job to the fullest. We hope that police and regulatory bodies will integrate to protect the citizen from the manipulation of opportunists and war profiteers who are not deterred by morals, religion or patriotism.
