Leadersips in SPLM-N move to overthrow Al-Hilu

Leadersips in Sudan People’s Liberation-North (SPLM-N), led by Abdelaziz Al-Hilu, revolted against their president over his participation in a Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia event in Nairobi to form a government for the Janjaweed, the announcement of which was postponed until Friday.
While a wave of mass resignations among the youth of the SPLM-N protested Al-Hilu’s move, the SPLM leaderships called for Al-Hilu’s dismissal from the movement’s presidency.
Meanwhile, the Head of the Nuba People’s Unity Entity, Brigadier General Amir Kafi Tayyar, attacked the Head of the SPLM Al-Hilu, accusing him of taking a price for his participation in the Janjaweed government, and asked “Where will you put your government? Describing Al-Hilu as a (liar).
For his part, the Wali (governor) of South Kordofan State, Mohamed Ibrahim Abdel-Karim, likened Al-Hilu to a (chameleon), describing him, during the launch of the Nuba People’s Unity Entity rally, as a traitor for sitting with the militia to announce their government. He said, “Al-Hilu is good at playing the chameleon”, and the group he sat with is a group of traitors and conspirators against the country.
Abdel-Karim stressed that the Sudanese people rejected and ostracized all those who helped and supported the militia, no matter how much they changed their skin and color.
