(Hajar and Nour) apologize to Chad after clashes with the Chadian army

A joint force from the Sudan Liberation Movement, led by Abdul-Wahid Nour, and the Sudan Liberation Forces Gathering, led by Al-Tahir Hajar, was subjected to a violent attack by the Chadian army after it penetrated Chadian territory, which led to the killing and wounding of 19 soldiers and the capture of two force commanders.
The incident occurred, according to military sources speaking on the tripartite border between Sudan, Libya and Chad, when the force penetrated Chadian territory.
The sources reported that the incident led to the killing of 6 soldiers and the wounding of about 13 others, with the burning of three military vehicles and the capture of two force commanders, who were transferred to Om Jaras, Chad.
A statement issued by the neutral joint force said that their forces moved within the framework of joint coordination with the Chadian government on the northwestern border. The statement confirmed that the force was attacked by the Chadian Border Protection Force, which led to the killing of a number of its members and the arrest of others, in addition to the taking of military vehicles into Chadian territory.
The statement apologized to the Chadian government, calling for the release of detainees and the return of all vehicles and personal belongings of the forces.
The neutral force to protect civilians expressed its full readiness to cooperate with Chad at all levels related to the security and safety of the two peoples.
