Former Sudan’s President, Al-Bashir Suffered a Terminal Illness in Prison

Former Vice President of Ex President Omar Al-Bashir and Head of the Political Sector of the National Congress Party (NCP), Al-Haj Adam Youssef, confirmed that the Former President is still remaining in prison. He also revealed that he is suffering from a very serious health condition, stating that Al-Bashir is suffering from a terminal illness.
In an interview with Al-Jazeera, Al-Haj Adam said that President Al-Bashir and other NCP leaderships are being held by the prison authority under the protection of the armed forces. He said that some people have visited them, indicating that they are in a very difficult health condition and have requested permission to seek treatment elsewhere inside or outside Sudan. However, the authorities are preventing them from receiving treatment, given the seriousness of their health conditions. He stated that Al-Bashir suffers from a terminal heart condition and high blood pressure, as do the other leaderships.
Meanwhile, Al-Haj Adam confirmed that the party strongly supports the armed forces in their war against the militias with money and men. He denied that this was to create influence within the army, stressing that their position is for the sake of Allah and out of a sense of national duty towards the country.
The Former Al-Bashir’s Vice-President stressed that NCP does not have any influence or relationship with President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC), General Abdel-Fattah Al-Burhan.
