Interview: Mohamed Al-Fatih

Former Egyptian Assistant Foreign Minister Salah Halima confirmed that Egypt has no ambitions in Sudan, however, it is keen on its security and stability.

Halima said, in an interview with (Sudanese Echoes), that there are opportunities for integration and cooperation in all aspects of life between Sudan and Egypt.

Meanwhile, Halima ruled out that the United Arab Emirates (UAE) would be part of the solution to the Sudanese crisis, considering it a part of the crisis. He said, “There is supposed to be a dialogue by proxy, and the meeting could be informal.”

Halima stressed that the balance of power on the ground has changed internally and externally, and the situation requires the UAE and the countries that support the militia to reconsider their positions for the benefit of the Sudanese people.
