Foreign Ministry: We will request (Trump) to annul sanctions on (Al-Burhan)

Foreign Minister Ali Youssef said on Tuesday that Sudan looks forward to a positive dialogue and more understandings with the administration of US President Donald Trump, noting that there are indirect channels of contact with the new administration that include American and Sudanese figures.
Youssef added to “Asharq” that Sudan has developed a vision and a program to review US policy, stressing his aspiration for Trump to pay attention to the Sudan file, saying: “We look forward to a positive dialogue and more understandings with the Trump administration, and we look forward to paying attention to the Sudan file and moving the crisis towards its logical end with the victory of the Sudanese Armed Forces over the militia.”
The Foreign Minister ruled out an immediate review by the new administration of the sanctions imposed on army commander Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, but he said that the government intends to ask the US presidency, according to a Sudanese vision, to review the sanctions on Burhan and demand their cancellation.
