Foreign Minister: We are open to Saudi efforts to cease the war in Sudan
Sudan’s Foreign Minister Ali Yousuf Al-Sharif confirmed his country’s openness to Saudi efforts aimed at halting the war in Sudan.
He said, in statements to Al-Arabiya, “the Sudanese government welcomes any initiatives aimed at achieving peace and stability in the country.”
It is to be recalled that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) had previously hosted talks between the conflicting Sudanese parties, as part of its efforts to calm the situation in Sudan.
The Sudanese minister’s statements came as an affirmation of his country’s support for regional and international efforts aimed at ending the ongoing conflict.
