Fierce Battles: The Army Makes Major Breakthrough in Omdurman

The army has made significant advances on the southern Omdurman hub, seizing control of several important and strategic sites after fierce battles with the militia.

Field sources reported that the armed forces achieved qualitative breakthroughs in several areas south of Omdurman, contributing to strengthening their defensive and offensive positions. They confirmed that this progress was the result of organized and deliberate military operations carried out by infantry and artillery units with support from warplanes.

The sources explained that Sudanese warplanes carried out several precise strikes targeting militia fortifications and vehicles, paving the way for the ground forces to rapidly advance. They noted that the morale of the soldiers is extremely high, amid ongoing logistical support to bolster their field success.

Reports confirmed that the militia suffered heavy losses in personnel and equipment during the clashes, and that a number of military vehicles were destroyed and quantities of weapons and ammunition were seized.
