Eight Killed, Nine Injured in Run-Over Accident in Omdurman
Eight people were killed and nine others injured, some of them critically, on Saturday after a military vehicle belonging to a force supporting the Sudanese Armed Forces ran over pedestrians near the central vegetable market in Karari locality, Omdurman.
A police source told Ultra Sudan that the accident occurred at the traffic lights due to excessive speed.
The bodies and injured were transported to Al-Nao Teaching Hospital and its mortuary in Omdurman, while police launched an investigation into the circumstances of the accident.
