Egyptian Foreign Minister: We Will Never Accept Sudan Partitioning Under Any Circumstances

Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdel-Aty has said that his country considers the partition of Sudan a “red line,” noting that the Gaza Reconstruction Conference hosted by Cairo is “planned to be convened late April.”
Abdel-Aty added, during a televised interview with the Saudi Al-Sharq News Channel, “We support the national state and its institutions in Sudan, and this is of utmost importance.”
He continued, “We have grave concerns about the issue of Sudan’s unity, stability, territorial integrity, and non-partition. This is a red line for us, and we cannot accept it under any circumstances.”
He emphasized that his country is “against any ideas and proposals related to parallel frameworks related to Sudan,” underscoring its support for Sudan and its people.
