Deputy SAF Commander-in-Chief: No negotiations or armistice with RSF militia
Member of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC), Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces (SAF), General Shams-Eddin Kabashi closed the door to any tendency to negotiate or conclude a truce with the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia, giving them a choice between surrender and handing over weapons or a military solution.
General Kabashi pledged, while addressing the victorious forces in the Sennar Sugar Factory, a few hours after completing its cleansing, to continue the victories on all combat fronts, “The victories will not stop, there will be no armistice, and there will be no negotiations. We will resolve them militarily only.” He said.
Kabashi stipulated that stopping military operations with the militia requires that they lay down their weapons and withdraw to the camps that the army chose for them to surrender.
TSC Member underlined that the militia had previously exploited temporary ceasefires and armistices to strengthen their operational position and destruction.
Kabashi said, addressing circles – which he did not name “To those who say that a political track should be opened, we will not open any political track until the military track ends,”. He continued: “This is what the people want.”
Deputy SAF Commander-in-Chief expressed his surprise at the militia members’ claim that they intend to rule the Sudanese people, and said, describing them as traitors and thugs, “how can you rule the state and the nation while you are destroying the capabilities of the Sudanese people;” referring to the devastation and vandalization that befell the Sennar sugar factory. “Traitors and thugs will perish.” He added. Kabashi revealed that the militia is following a systematic and deliberate plan to destroy the country’s infrastructure.
