Deputy Intelligence Chief Calls for Unity of Sudanese Ranks Abroad

The Deputy Director of the Sudan General Intelligence Service, Lieutenant General Abbas Mohamed Bakhit, called for consolidating national unity among Sudanese communities abroad and mobilizing coordinated efforts to support the country during the current period of challenges.

He urged broader inclusion of Sudanese overseas — across all backgrounds and affiliations — in initiatives aimed at supporting the homeland and preserving the course of state-building.

The deputy intelligence chief said the present phase requires strong national cohesion and prioritization of the supreme national interest, stressing the importance of encouraging programmes and initiatives that reinforce unity among Sudanese abroad and deepen their connection to national causes.

He added that state institutions remain committed to supporting national efforts that promote stability and unity, and called for responsible engagement reflecting full awareness of the scale of challenges facing the country.
