Army-Owned Company Deploys Aircraft for Aerial Spraying to Combat Dengue Fever and Malaria in Khartoum

The Ministry of Health in Khartoum received aircraft from the Defense Industries System (DIS) at Khartoum International Airport today to participate in aerial spraying operations.

 

 

The federal and state ministries of health intend to launch a large-scale integrated campaign to combat disease vectors, which will continue for three months.

 

 

The ministry received the aircraft in the presence of Khartoum International Airport Director Ayman Afifi, Colonel Abdel-Azim Omar Al-Amin, Director of the Crops Company at Al-Safat Aviation Group under the DIS, and Director of the General Administration for Emergencies and Epidemics, Dr. Mohamed Al-Tijani.

 

 

Dr. Al-Tijani confirmed that preparations are complete to begin the aerial spraying campaign using both mist and fogging methods to target vectors in both larval and adult stages.

 

 

He explained that the integrated campaign aims to reduce the density of mosquitoes and flies and to completely eliminate dengue fever and malaria.
