Al-Burhan: We will form government led by a (technocrat) Prime Minister

President of the Sovereignty Council, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, General Abdel-Fattah Al-Burhan, met with the Italian Ambassador to Sudan, who is temporarily resident in Addis Ababa.
The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Hussein Al-Amin, explained that the meeting discussed Italy’s support for Sudan and its people, indicating that Italy’s positions towards Sudan are commendable, noting that its position was expressed by the ambassador during the meeting with Al-Burhan, in which he criticized the deviation of (Tagadum) and its transformation into supporting the rebellion.
Ambassador Al-Amin said that the Italian ambassador stressed Italy’s support and keenness on the unity of Sudan and the integrity of its territories, pointing out that Al-Burhan briefed the Italian ambassador on the next stage in Sudan, stressing that the coming period will witness the formation of a transitional government headed by a (technocrat) Prime Minister who does not belong to any party or political entity, and then move to the phase of organizing free and fair elections.
For his part, the Italian Ambassador, Michele Tomasi, stated that his mission will be on two political and humanitarian tracks, noting that the meeting touched on the means and methods to end the conflict and ways to achieve a ceasefire to facilitate the delivery of humanitarian aid to those who deserve it.
