Al-Burhan added, addressing the intelligence officers and soldiers, “Your steadfastness is what made the Sudanese unwavering.” Al-Burhan closed the door to negotiation or reconciliation with the militia. He announced their refusal to receive any rebel, or anyone who stood with the rebellion. He continued, “No one who stood with the rebellion can come to us, and no one who rebelled can come to us, and we will not accept them among us.” He pledged to cleanse Sudan of the rebels soon.
