A squadron of drones targeting SAF camp in Shendi downed

The Sudanese Armed Forces’s (SAF) anti-aircraft guns shot down (7) drones targeting Al-Maaqil camp, about 35 kilometers southeast of Shendi city in River Nile State today, Saturday.

 

Sources said, “The Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia has launched about 7 drones towards Al-Maaqil camp, which were was intercepted by the anti-aircraft guns of the Third Infantry Division and succeeded in shooting them down without hitting any of the targets.”

 

The sources confirmed that one of the drones, numbered (452), was received by individuals affiliated with the “Saif-al-Islam” advance force, which is affiliated with the Special Action Forces.

 

Witnesses said that “another drone fell on a farm in Al-Taraja area, north of Shendi, and killed a cow.”

 

The cities of River Nile States, Shendi, Atbara, and Ad-Damar, have previously been subjected to drone attacks, as the RSF militia targeted the state government headquarters, the Third Infantry Division in Shendi, and Atbara Airport.
