Sudanese Army Announces Recapture of Strategic Eayal Bakheet ‎Area in West Kordofan

‎(Sudanese Echoes) – The Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) have ‎recaptured the strategic area of Aeyal Bakheet in West Kordofan State, ‎announcing that it had been fully cleared of the Rapid Support Forces ‎‎(RSF) militia.‎

The announcement was made in a video posted on Facebook on ‎Saturday by the spokesperson for the Special Task Forces on his official ‎page. The footage showed army troops establishing full control over ‎the area, amid a warm welcome from local residents.‎

Eayal Bakheet is a strategically important geographical and military ‎location in the conflict zone, situated approximately 35 to 40 ‎kilometres northwest of Al-Khuwei locality. The advance is significant ‎in securing the rear of Al-Khuwei and cutting off infiltration and ‎flanking routes previously used by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) ‎militia.‎

The area is also located about 100 kilometres north of Al-Nohod. Its ‎recapture gives the Sudanese Army a strategic advantage in protecting ‎key supply routes and extending security control towards the outskirts ‎of North Kordofan State, particularly Om Badir locality, thereby ‎restricting the movements of RSF groups across various fronts in ‎Kordofan.‎
