Army Airstrikes Target RSF Strongholds in Al-Nohod Ahead of Ground ‎Offensive

The Sudanese Army’s Air Force carried out a series of intensive ‎airstrikes targeting the main positions of the Rapid Support Forces ‎‎(RSF) militia in the city of Al-Nohod, causing casualties and equipment ‎losses among its ranks, amid indications that army ground units are ‎preparing to advance toward the city.‎

Eyewitnesses inside the city told Shahid Ayan Platform that the ‎airstrikes caused confusion among militia groups, prompting them to ‎redeploy their personnel and change their gathering points. Several ‎combat vehicles were also observed withdrawing toward the southern ‎axis of the city.‎

Meanwhile, local sources said the militia launched a wide-scale arrest ‎campaign targeting a number of Al-Nohod residents on suspicion of ‎cooperating with Sudanese Army intelligence and providing it with the ‎coordinates of military positions.‎

The city is currently experiencing heightened security tensions and ‎unrest, amid residents’ fears of renewed airstrikes and armed clashes.‎
