Colombian Mercenaries Spotted Near Sudan-Ethiopia Border
Assosa, (Sudanese Echoes) – Ethiopian local media outlets have revealed intensive movements by dozens of Colombian mercenaries near the border with Sudan, particularly around the Assosa area in Ethiopia’s Benishangul-Gumuz Region.
According to media sources and matching field reports, the fighters were brought in by the United Arab Emirates (UAE) through complex transport routes to support the military operations of the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia.
Intelligence information indicates that the Colombian mercenaries in the area are carrying out sensitive technical and operational tasks, foremost among them operating and deploying guided drones, in addition to training militia members in projectile and heavy artillery systems and guerrilla warfare.
