Decisive Military Orders: Clearing the Capital of Armed Presence and Restricting Movement of Combat Vehicles
Deputy Chief of Staff Lieutenant General Abdelkhair Abdullah Nassir chaired a meeting of the committee tasked with clearing Khartoum State of armed fighting forces and collecting weapons, as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen security, restore stability, and reinforce state authority under the framework of security control and state enforcement committees.
The meeting was attended by Director of Khartoum State Police, Lt. Gen. (Police) Sirajuddin Mansour, alongside commanders of military zones and joint forces.
Police spokesperson Brigadier General Fath Al-Rahman Mohamed Al-Toum stated that the meeting discussed tightening coordination among the committee’s components, strengthening joint operations between regular forces, and regulating the movement of combat vehicles and armed personnel within Khartoum State in a manner that supports security, stability, and the protection of civilians.
He added that the meeting approved the deployment of a number of patrols and security cordons aimed at eliminating negative phenomena and security violations, while supporting the efforts of the Khartoum State Security Committee to enforce state authority, create a safe environment for the return of citizens to their areas, and advance the normalization of civilian life.
The meeting concluded with a number of key decisions and recommendations expected to contribute to enhancing security, public reassurance, and stability across Khartoum State during the coming phase.
