“Our Battle Is Existential” … Victory in Kordofan Brings Us Closer to Decisive Outcome and Reclaiming the Nation
The Governor of the Darfur Region and Chairman of the Sudan Liberation Army Movement, Commander Minni Arko Minawi, affirmed that the joint forces and the Sudanese Army will not lay down their arms until achieving complete victory and “cleansing” all Sudanese territory, describing the current confrontations as an “existential battle” with no retreat.
In a post on his official Facebook page, Minnawi congratulated the “heroes” in the North and South Kordofan axes on the major victories achieved on Saturday, stressing that these victories represent a strategic step bringing Sudanese people closer to decisively resolving the overall battle and restoring the nation’s stability.
He affirmed that taking up arms was a necessity to defend the people and protect the land, and that the forces will not stop regardless of how long it takes or how great the sacrifices become until victory is achieved. He stressed that, at its core, the battle aims to ensure the safe, dignified return of every displaced person and refugee to their homes. He reassured Sudanese citizens that morale among fighters is at its highest levels, affirming that “victory is now on the horizon.”
