Flight from Cairo Repatriates 107 Deported Sudanese to Sudan
The Chairman of Al-Amal Committee for the Voluntary Return of Sudanese Refugees, Mohamed Wada’a, announced the departure of the first “Al-Amal Flights” from Cairo International Airport, carrying 107 deportees who had been detained for violations, along with the elderly, patients, and pregnant women, whom the committee prioritized in the initial repatriation operations.
Wada’a explained that the committee’s rapporteur, Hassan Khalid, accompanied the deportees on the same flight, noting that the operation’s success was made possible through donations benevolent businessmen and the cooperation of the Sudanese Embassy in Cairo and the Egyptian authorities.
He affirmed that this achievement was under the sponsorship of Prime Minister Dr. Kamil Idris, Sudan’s Ambassador to Cairo, General Emad-Eddin Adawi, and his team, alongside the contributions of businessmen who will be recorded on the “Honour Roll of Those Supporting the Sudanese People.”
Wada’a added that the flights will continue through multiple channels according to carefully planned schedules, with application procedures to be announced soon. He emphasized the importance of solidarity among all and the continued cooperation between the Egyptian and Sudanese governments.
