Al-Burhan: We Will Not Waver or Show Leniency in Decisively Ending the Rebellion

President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC) and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, said Sudan’s regular forces, in all their formations, stand shoulder to shoulder with the Sudanese people to decisively defeat and eliminate the rebellion, stressing that the state will not allow any further opportunity for renewed insurgency and that any leniency or hesitation in this regard will be met with firmness and decisive action.

Addressing the graduation ceremony of the 22nd qualifying intake of the General Intelligence Service, attended by the Intelligence Chief, General Ahmed Ibrahim Mufaddal, Al-Burhan praised the heroic role played by the service’s personnel, who joined what he described as the “Battle of Dignity” from the very outset and provided support to the Armed Forces across all theatres of combat.

Al-Burhan also commended the steadfastness of the General Intelligence Service and its adherence to its commitments at a time when many values and covenants had collapsed, reaffirming the determination of the Armed Forces and other regular forces to restore security and stability throughout all parts of the country. He declared that “the rebellion is destined to be eradicated.”
